Okay, so maybe it wasn’t the latest $640 million lotto win, but a win nonetheless. Her name is Ruby and boy, does her sparkle just light up our lives!
Though Ruby doesn’t turn 2 months until Wednesday, she had her check-up (and shots – eek!) a little early. As of this past Friday, Ruby has jumped up to a healthy 9 pounds, 8 ounces and 22 inches long – putting her in the 25th percentile. She is still a little on the “small” side of normal/healthy, but has finally gotten out of the premie size category. On a side note, she does still fit into her newborn size clothes… oh this little girl!
We’ve been having a lot of fun with Ruby. She is just such a good girl. Not a whole lot of crying fits nor late nights or early mornings. She’s sleeping well – only waking one time a night for a feeding around 3:00am, but after that it’s a normal day. I think she has also just figured out the difference between night and day as she is a lot more alert during the day hours and shares her smiles and coo’s while we shop and dine out. And she’s been spending a lot of time with family – helping Uncle Shaun move into his townhouse and celebrating Grandma Linda’s birthday in Milwaukee and being babysat by Grandma Vicki and Grandpa Ron while Don and I had a date day spent at the movies. She is so lucky (like we are!) to have such great family!
She is just one beautiful girl and she is definitely our jackpot!
